Region 4 of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and its member states are presently in the initial stages of developing a multi-level planning process to guide themselves in dealing with the important environmental issues facing the Region over the next twenty years.

The Regional Environmental Strategic Plan (RESP) reflects the collective efforts of Region 4 of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency and the eight state that comprise the Region. Over the past 10 months the management and staff of Region 4 EPA and the management and staff of the environmental agencies of Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee have been working to develop this cornerstone planning product.
