reflect the thirteen issue areas developed in the FCER
project, as well
as a series of other issues of concern. The purpose of the
SAFE project
is to design a full planning system using environmental
indicators that
can structure existing and future planning activities for
three
individual river ecosystems, the Apalachicola River, the
Hillsborough
River, and the Peace River.
Florida Comparison of Environmental Risks (FCER)
The purpose of this project is to determine the
environmental problems
that pose the greatest risks to Florida according to the

community and the citizens at large. One of the results of
this project
will be a ranking of environmental issues according to the
risks they pose
to Floridians health, quality of life, and the state's
ecology.
