Type A Indicator, List 1: (Acrobat)

Indicators that are based in national data sets, have known metadata, meet essential indicator criteria,an are comparable across all 50 states

Type A Indicator, List 2: (Acrobat)

Indicators that are based in national data sets, have known metadata at the state level and are appropriate at the state level. The data are not comparable across the states

Type A Indicator, List 3: (Acrobat)

Indicators that are based in data sets available to less than 50 states, have know metadata, meet essential indicator selection criteria and that are comparable across the states

Type A Indicator, List 4: (Acrobat)

Indicators that have uncertain or unknown metadata

Type A Indicator, List 5: (Acrobat)

Indicators that reflect administrative, activity, or program measurements that can be used as surrogates where true environmental measures for a particular issue or concern do not exist

Type B Indicator (Acrobat)

Indicators that are presently feasible, but cannot be provided due to inordinate cost, analytical complexity, or time constraint

Type C Indicator (Acrobat)

Prospective indicators for which there is no reasonable prospect of development without some extraordinary expenditure of resources
